Liszt-Haus Weimar

Weimar, Thüringen

Franz Liszt spent his last years here: from 1869 until his death in 1886, the composer and pianist stayed for several months each year on the upper floor of this neoclassical house at the edge of the Ilm Park. It was built in 1798/99 for the ducal court gardener and remodelled in 1819. Visitors can see the rooms where Liszt lived and worked.
