Goethe-Nationalmuseum

Goethe's former home on the Frauenplan is the heart of this museum, along with its garden and an extension. Built in 1709, the house was where the poet lived on and off from 1782 until his death in 1832. It has been open as a museum since 1885, drawing on his estate and collections.
