Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe Hamburg

Hamburg, Hamburg

Right by Hamburg's main railway station on Steintorplatz, this museum of applied arts and design gathers a vast collection from Europe, the ancient world and Asia. Among the draws are its period rooms: the mirrored hall from the Budge Palace, the Paris Room and Verner Panton's mirrored canteen. You will also find historic keyboard instruments such as harpsichords and clavichords, along with faience and porcelain from the 17th and 18th centuries, all in a building dating from the 1870s.
