Set inside the surviving parts of Burg Brome, this local museum shows how people lived in the countryside in earlier times and which old crafts they practised. The castle is part of the visit: it was thoroughly restored between 2009 and 2014 after its centuries-old foundation of timber piles began to fail. The museum itself opened in 1979, when locals set out to save the decaying site.
