Autostadt

Beside the Mittelland Canal and right next to the Volkswagen plant, 28 hectares of grounds show off contemporary architecture and landscaping. The complex combines a museum, pavilions for the group's car brands, vehicles from past and present model ranges, and the centre where customers collect their new cars. There are also hands-on attractions and a factory tour; after the pavilions close in the evening, the grounds can be entered free of charge.
