Coal is the subject of this mining museum in Aldenhoven. The town once had a hard-coal mine, the Grube Emil Mayrisch, and many keepsakes from that time survive, including a complete underground train. The museum fills Haus Vaahsen with over 1,400 square metres of exhibition space and covers hard coal and lignite. Groups can book a guided tour in advance.
