Eschweiler is a carnival stronghold, and in its Dürwiß district a small museum is devoted to the festivities. It shows items from the Eschweiler and Stolberg carnivals and keeps up the traditions of the local clubs. It sits in the former caretaker's flat of a disused bakery factory, converted by club members themselves.
