Münze Hall
Hall in Tirol, Tirol
Tyrol's coins were struck here from 1477 into the early 19th century, from 1567 in Hasegg Castle, which now houses the museum. It shows silver coins along with the machines and tools of coin-making. The centrepiece is an eight-metre replica of the roller-press machine developed in Hall, which turned out around 4,000 coins a day. The famous Andreas Hofer Kreuzer of 1809 were also minted in Hall.
