Schreibmaschinenmuseum Wattens
Wattens, Tirol
More than 500 restored, working typewriters trace the story from Peter Mitterhofer's wooden machine of 1864 to modern electronic models. A guided visit brings in the inventors, makers and companies behind them. You will also find typewriters for the blind, shorthand and toy machines, cut-away models showing the mechanism, and teleprinter demonstrations. The museum describes itself as the only publicly accessible one of its kind in Austria.
