MiniaturWelten Stuttgart

Stuttgart, Baden-Württemberg

Spread over more than 180 square metres, this is a model of Stuttgart as it looked in the 1980s and 1990s, built at 1:160 scale. It is not a conventional model railway but a cityscape full of detail: over 450 buildings, hand-painted vehicles, home-made trees and even individually lettered gravestones. Wolfgang Frey built it all alone over about 15 years, alongside his job as a railway dispatcher.
