Marinehistorisches- und Heimatmuseum Dranske/Bug

Dranske, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern

This small museum in Dranske tells the story of the village and the Bug peninsula, from the Swedish period through the naval airmen of the Imperial Navy and the Luftwaffe to the fast patrol boats of the East German Volksmarine. Many original items show how the military shaped the old farming village, and the changes after 1990 are covered too. It grew out of an exhibition put together by the local heritage society.
