Landesmuseum für Vorgeschichte Halle

Halle (Saale), Sachsen-Anhalt

Halle's state archaeology museum tells the prehistory of Saxony-Anhalt through finds from across the region, drawn from a store of more than 15 million objects. The permanent exhibition is the home of the Nebra sky disk, and alongside it you can see the Hornhausen rider stone, the family graves from Eulau and the Mesolithic burial of the Bad Dürrenberg shaman. The forest elephant of Gröbern is another well-known find in the collection.
