Hindemith Kabinett
Frankfurt am Main, Hessen
In the Kuhhirtenturm in Sachsenhausen, the last surviving piece of Frankfurt's medieval fortifications, this small museum remembers the composer Paul Hindemith. He lived in the tower from 1923 to 1927 and wrote works here including the opera Cardillac and the song cycle Das Marienleben, set to poems by Rilke. The museum opened in 2011.
