Schirn Kunsthalle Frankfurt

Between the Römer and the cathedral in the old town, this is a kunsthalle without a collection of its own. It stages changing exhibitions of modern and contemporary art and is Frankfurt's main venue for such shows. Since opening in 1986 it has hosted retrospectives of Kandinsky, Chagall, Giacometti and Yves Klein, among others.
