Caricatura Museum für Komische Kunst

Cartoons, drawings, satirical writing and sculpture fill this museum of comic art. The permanent exhibition centres on the Neue Frankfurter Schule, with work by Robert Gernhardt, F. W. Bernstein, Chlodwig Poth, Hans Traxler and F. K. Waechter, including literary pieces and films. It occupies the Leinwandhaus in the Altstadt and is part of Frankfurt's Museumsufer. Out front stands a bronze moose by Traxler, carrying the names of the school's leading figures and a short verse by Bernstein.
