The Hirtenhaus, beside the church in the upper village, is thought to be the oldest dwelling in Reiskirchen. This small half-timbered house, whose frame was long hidden under grey plaster, has served as the local history museum since the 1990s. Members of the local history society renovated its interior themselves.
