Heimatmuseum Lich

Lich, Hessen

This three-storey half-timbered house from 1632 still carries its builder's coat of arms and carved plant ornaments, and inside it covers Lich's history floor by floor. The vaulted cellar holds technical equipment such as a coffee roaster, a hot-metal typesetting machine and an early teleprinter, alongside archaeological finds from prehistoric and Roman times. Upstairs are town history, kitchen tools, domestic life, and farming and craft implements, with large farm machinery in the courtyard. The neighbouring house shows toys and items from the local men's choir.
