Liebig-Museum

Gießen, Hessen

This is where the chemist Justus Liebig lived and worked while teaching at Giessen University from 1824 to 1852. The building began as a barracks guardhouse and Liebig extended it into a chemical laboratory. It shows the working conditions and equipment of his day in the former chemical institute. In 2003 it was named a Historic Site of Chemistry.
