Heimathaus Chieming

Chieming, Bayern

This farmhouse from 1823, once the Denglhamerhof, shows how a farming family lived in Chieming. Downstairs you can see the original farmhouse parlour; upstairs are the farmhand's room and the farmers' best bedroom, both furnished as they once were. One small room explains how flax became linen, and the hallway displays how milk was used on the farm. The house itself was built from the salvaged materials of Chieming's demolished St. Michael's church.
