Haydn-Geburtshaus

Rohrau, Niederösterreich

Joseph Haydn was born in this thatched farmhouse in 1732; his father, a wheelwright, built it around 1728. Some rooms hold farm furniture from the composer's time. The former workshop of his father documents the lives of Joseph and his brother Michael, also a composer.
