Haus des Heiligenstädter Testaments

Wien, Wien

Beethoven stayed in this former farmhouse in Heiligenstadt in 1802 and is said to have written his Heiligenstadt Testament here, a letter to his brothers about his worsening deafness. Once a small memorial, it was extended in 2017 into a Beethoven museum of 265 square metres, run by the Wien Museum.
