Bezirksmuseum Floridsdorf
Wien, Wien
Local history from Vienna's 21st district is kept in the Mautner Schlössl, a small manor-style house on Prager Straße. This district museum, also called the Floridsdorf Heimatmuseum, shows how the area north of the Danube developed. The museum has a turbulent past of its own: founded in the 1930s, it was closed several times and almost entirely destroyed by bombing in 1945. It has been based in the Schlössl since 1960.
