Härtsfeldbahn-Museum

Neresheim, Baden-Württemberg

The Härtsfeld railway, nicknamed the Schättere, ran as a narrow-gauge line from Aalen via Neresheim to Dillingen from 1901 to 1972 and was a popular excursion train. After closure the track was removed and the vehicles scrapped or sold. At the station site in Neresheim you can see the 1000 mm line being rebuilt as a heritage railway.
