GRASSI Museum für Angewandte Kunst Leipzig

Leipzig, Sachsen

Decorative arts from Europe and beyond, from antiquity to the present, fill this museum in the Grassi complex, with particular strength in the 1920s and 1930s. The collection takes in ceramics, textiles, glass, metalwork, furniture and coins. A highlight is the Roman Hall, with panelling saved from a palace at Eythra near Leipzig that was demolished for coal mining.
