Schloßmuseum Murnau

Murnau am Staffelsee, Bayern

The museum is built around a medieval residential tower of Murnau's former castle, which took its present form in the 16th century. The tower, with its sliding windows, and archaeological finds such as pottery, glass and coins tell of castle building in Upper Bavaria. The castle was for over 400 years the seat of the stewards of Ettal monastery. The museum belongs to the MuSeenLandschaft Expressionismus group.
