Frauenmuseum Hittisau
Hittisau, Vorarlberg
Devoted to the cultural work and history of women, especially from the Bregenzerwald, this is Austria's first and only women's museum. It occupies the upper floor of the Feuerwehr- und Kulturhaus, a timber building of local silver fir with a large glass front, which has won several architecture prizes.
