Faust-Museum
Knittlingen, Baden-Württemberg
Knittlingen is where Johann Georg Faust, the man behind the legend, is said to have been born around 1480, and this museum follows his story. It occupies the Old Town Hall, a half-timbered house from the 18th century. The permanent exhibition, redesigned in 2002, presents material on the historical Faust and on the many retellings of the Faust story that grew out of it.
