Doppelmühle Strötzbach

Two mills once shared this one roof, and the building in Strötzbach dates back to around 1700. Today the former Brückner mill holds the museum, with its six-metre undershot water wheel, a cog wheel, the grinding floor with its millstone, a small workshop and the sleeping quarters of the miller and his helpers. Together they show how the small craft mills along the Kahl worked. The mill still runs, and it grinds grain the old way at the May 1 mill festival.
