Dokumentations- und Kulturzentrum Deutscher Sinti und Roma

Heidelberg, Baden-Württemberg

This permanent exhibition in Heidelberg's old town, just below the castle, commemorates the Nazi persecution and genocide of the Sinti and Roma. It occupies a listed 18th-century merchant's house, opened in 1997. Over several floors it shows the everyday life and history of the minority and the stages of their persecution.
