Die Neue Sammlung

München, Bayern

Product design, furniture, graphics, ceramics, glass, jewellery and appliances: the collection holds around 120,000 items and is described as the largest design collection in the world. It grew out of ideas of the German Werkbund and became a state museum in 1925. Its Munich galleries are part of the Pinakothek der Moderne, with further rooms in Nuremberg and Weiden.
