Museum Mineralogia München

München, Bayern

Gemstones, meteorites and crystals fill this mineralogy museum in Munich's Kunstareal. You will see diamonds, emeralds, Alpine quartz and minerals from Bavaria's ore deposits. Highlights include the King Ludwig Diamond, the Takowaya emerald and the main mass of the Mauerkirchen meteorite. Displays also explain how minerals form and what properties they have. The entrance is up the broad outdoor stairway on Marianne-von-Werefkin-Weg.
