Bayerisches Eisenbahnmuseum

Nördlingen, Bayern

More than two hundred original railway vehicles stand on the site of the Nördlingen locomotive depot, which closed in 1982. The grounds cover about 3.5 hectares, and much of the old depot's layout survives. Further vehicles are waiting to be restored. Set up here in 1985 and run privately, it is the largest private railway museum in southern Germany.
