Bauernmuseum Zabeltitz

Großenhain, Sachsen

A farmstead more than 200 years old, with buildings on three sides, stands in the middle of the village and serves as an open-air museum of farm life in the Großenhain area. The parlour, kitchen and bedrooms take you back to about 1901, when the Händel family took over the farm. In the feed kitchen, stable, hayloft and barn, tools and equipment show how milk, butter, meat, bread and honey were produced. A small exhibition in the side building tells the farm's history.
