With about 3,000 square metres under cover plus an open-air park, the Saxon Fire Brigade Museum in Zeithain follows Saxony's fire services from 1841 to the present. You will see hand and motor pumps, vehicles, equipment, uniforms, models and dioramas. Almost all fire and special vehicles built in East Germany are here, along with a Reichsbahn fire train and an Interflug firefighting aircraft. A permanent show covers forest fire fighting.
