Angermuseum Erfurt - Barfüßerkirche

Erfurt, Thüringen

This Gothic Franciscan church, completed around 1250, has shaped Erfurt's skyline for centuries. After fires, collapse and years as a ruin, it was rebuilt and from 1983 housed medieval art from the Angermuseum. The main draw is the building itself, with its high choir and a layered history written into the walls.
