Angermuseum

Erfurt, Thüringen

Paintings, sculpture, glass art, prints and musical instruments, along with historic rooms, fill this art museum in Erfurt. It occupies the city's former public weigh house on the Anger, a Baroque building of 1706–1711 with the patron saint St Martin in its gable. The collection began with a gift including more than 700 watercolours and drawings by Friedrich Nerly, many made in Venice.
