Zamek Królewski na Wawelu – Państwowe Zbiory Sztuki

Kraków, małopolskie

The former residence of Poland's kings on Wawel Hill, now a museum of historic interiors and art collections. Its beginnings go back to 1882, when Jan Matejko donated his painting Prussian Homage for a planned museum in the castle. Most of the buildings were restored in the 20th century, and a visit takes you through a series of rooms and exhibitions within one complex.
