Wiener Secessionsgebäude

Wien, Wien

A golden dome of laurel leaves marks this exhibition hall for contemporary art. Joseph Maria Olbrich built it in 1897/98 for the Vienna Secession, and it is a landmark of Secession-style architecture. Above the entrance runs the group's motto: To every age its art, to every art its freedom. Inside, you can see Gustav Klimt's Beethoven Frieze.
