Werburg-Museum Spenge

Where a moated castle once stood, this museum in the manor house of Haus Werburg shows how its residents lived between the 15th and 19th centuries. The displays are finds from excavations carried out on the castle grounds between 1995 and 2011. It is designed for children and families, with plenty of interactive and media stations. A mock excavation lets visitors try out for themselves how archaeological digging works.
