Weberhausmuseum Neudorf

Schauenstein, Bayern

This small thatched weaver's house from the late 18th century shows how plainly handloom weavers lived in the Frankenwald. The exhibits come from the household of the Wolfrum family, who were among the last to live here. The single-storey house combines living quarters and stable, with a boarded gable and a roofed draw well by the door. Thatched houses are rare in the Hof district, so the building is worth a look in itself.
