Vorgeschichtliches Erlebnisdorf ALCMONA

Dietfurt an der Altmühl, Bayern

Beside the canal in Dietfurt, a village from prehistoric times has been rebuilt in careful detail. Alcmona is the Celtic name for the Altmühl river and means still water. The project grew out of finds of Stone Age, Bronze Age and Iron Age settlements across the Altmühl Valley Nature Park. This open-air site lets you experience history first-hand.
