Old childhood dreams sit behind glass here: dolls and their parlours, Punch-and-Judy theatres, carousels, steam engines and remarkable home-built creations by young engineers, much of it tin and plastic, including collectors' rarities. The museum in Beilngries' old town also has a large N-gauge model railway where several trains run over more than 75 metres of track through many stations. Guided tours are available.
