Volkskundemuseum in Schönberg

Schönberg, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern

How did people live in the Ratzeburg region? This folk-life museum answers on two sites: the local-history museum beside St Laurentius church in Schönberg, housed in a former school, and an open-air section at the Bechelsdorf Schulzenhof farmstead. The collection dates back to 1903 and tells of the culture of the former Principality of Ratzeburg, which long kept a character of its own.
