This design museum stands in Weil am Rhein, close to the Swiss border at Basel, in a building by Frank Gehry. Its collection centres on furniture and interiors, including the estate of Charles and Ray Eames and pieces by Alvar Aalto, Verner Panton, Dieter Rams and Jean Prouvé. The Schaudepot on the Vitra grounds displays them permanently.
