Uhrenindustriemuseum Villingen-Schwenningen

Villingen-Schwenningen, Baden-Württemberg

Housed in the former Bürk clock factory, this museum follows the story of the clockmaking industry that shaped Schwenningen. During demonstrations, volunteers run old restored machines to produce alarm clocks of the kind made here in the 1920s. Through the 19th and early 20th centuries, the town was an important centre of industrial clock manufacture in southern Germany.
