Tanzmeisterhaus

Salzburg, Salzburg

The Mozart family lived in the Tanzmeisterhaus on Makartplatz from 1773 to 1787, while Wolfgang Amadeus was aged 17 to 25. The house, mentioned as early as 1617, was largely destroyed by bombs in 1944. In the surviving part, the Tanzmeistersaal with its late 18th-century stucco was restored.
