Museum der Moderne Salzburg

Salzburg, Salzburg

Modern and contemporary art is shown at two sites: the Rupertinum in the old town, an early baroque town palace finished in 1633, and the newer building on the Mönchsberg, opened in 2004. The collection was founded on the gift of art dealer Friedrich Welz, including many works by Oskar Kokoschka. The Rupertinum also holds a photography collection focused on Austrian photography.
