Stiftsmuseum Wissel
Kalkar, Nordrhein-Westfalen
Wissel, the dune village on the Lower Rhine, was a medieval seat of the knights of Wissel and of a canons' foundation, and later a tobacco-growing village. The Stiftsmuseum is a small museum of religious art tied to this local past. Nearby, a trail with information boards crosses the Wisseler Dünen, the only surviving inland dune landscape in the Rhineland.
