Station 18 Neuwegersleben
Am Großen Bruch, Sachsen-Anhalt
This telegraph tower was part of Prussia's optical telegraph line and was built in 1833 on the edge of Neuwegersleben. The plain, rectangular rubble-stone building measures about 6 by 4 metres, with a cellar, ground floor and upper floor, and shows how these stations were built and how the telegraph worked. It opens on the last Sunday of the month from May to September, and guided visits can be arranged.
