Stadtmuseum Simeonstift Trier

Trier, Rheinland-Pfalz

Right beside the Porta Nigra, the former Simeonstift buildings hold art and cultural history of Trier from the Middle Ages to the 20th century. You will find paintings, sculpture, decorative arts, furniture, Coptic textiles and East Asian small sculpture, supported by models, films and listening stations. In the Trebeta Hall, a large oil painting illustrates the legend of the city's mythical founder, Trebeta.
